1. Introduction

Zinro Labs ("Zinro," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Zinro Android application (the "App") and website (zinro.app). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App and services.

By downloading and using the Zinro app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. The App functions as a smart text expansion and AI utility keyboard assistant.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and Google account profile information (via Google OAuth). If you choose to set up a business profile, we collect your business name and business description.

2.2 Chat & Usage Data

Zinro generates smart reply templates based on the text inputs you provide or interact with inside your active working pane. This context processing occurs dynamically and transiently. We do not store, log, or permanently transmit your conversation text content to our servers — context is evaluated strictly in volatile memory and is instantly discarded after the template option is generated.

We only collect metadata about your usage (e.g., number of AI suggestions generated, plan tier usage limits) to properly manage account tiers.

2.3 Saved Content

When you use the "Save" feature (notes, tasks, reminders, memories), the content you explicitly save is stored on our secure servers. This data is associated with your account and can be deleted by you at any time from the app settings.

2.4 Payment Information

Payments are processed through PhonePe, a third-party payment gateway. We do not store your credit/debit card numbers, UPI IDs, or banking details on our servers. PhonePe handles all payment data in compliance with PCI DSS standards. We receive only payment status confirmations (success/failure) and transaction IDs from PhonePe.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the AI smart reply service
• To process your subscription and credit pack purchases via PhonePe
• To save and sync your notes, tasks, reminders, and memories
• To personalize AI suggestions based on your saved business context and tone preferences
• To send transactional emails (subscription confirmations, team invitations via Brevo)
• To enforce plan limits (200 suggestions/month on Free, 2,500 on Pro, etc.)
• To improve the app based on usage patterns and feedback

4. Overlay Permission

Zinro requires specific Android interface overlay and system auto-fill utility permissions. These are utilized solely to display the Zinro suggestion panels neatly alongside your active workflow, detect when you require a text completion shortcut, and safely auto-fill your chosen AI template into your text box without requiring repetitive manual typing. We strictly do not log, intercept, or track private data fields, passwords, or payment forms.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on MongoDB Atlas (our cloud database provider). We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access tokens are stored securely on your device using Android's EncryptedSharedPreferences. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your account data until you delete your account. Saved notes, tasks, reminders, and memories can be individually deleted from the app. To delete your entire account and all associated data, contact us at hello@zinro.app. Deletion requests are processed within 7 business days.

7. Third-Party Services

Zinro integrates with the following third-party services:

• Google OAuth — for authentication (sign in with Google)
• PhonePe — for payment processing (subscriptions and credit packs)
• Brevo (Sendinblue) — for transactional emails (team invitations)
• Groq / OpenAI / Anthropic / Gemini — for AI model inference (via our backend proxy) for real-time context inference and template engineering. Chat logs are passed transiently to these processing APIs over secured endpoints and are never utilized by third-party systems for persistent training purposes.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data held by us
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your saved data
• Withdraw consent for business context processing (disable in settings)
• Disable the overlay at any time
